Kuncung Mas Spring and Waterfalls

Tired of crowded holiday destination? Put this place on your to go list. Kuncung Mas is a semi-natural waterfall, which completely is a new destination. This waterfall is divided into three area: the spring, the dam, and the river. From the entrance, the first thing you’ll see is the beautiful river with a wood bridge above it. Walk higher, then you will meet the turquoise watered dam. This dam is a natural object with the touch of local people to make it safe for the visitors. You can also swim in it. Do not worry if you can not swim, this place has life jackets or buoys rental. The spring, which you can access by walking up the stairs, is also worth to visit. The stones under the water are not slippery at all, so you can walk closer to the waterfalls.

The name Kuncung Mas itself has an interesting origin. According to local people, there are Kuncung Mas fish living in the river. Unfortunately, the fish are gone by unknown cause.

Kuncung Mas Spring and Waterfalls is only one and a quarter hours from Yogyakarta city by car (34,3 km). Unfortunately there is no public transportation available to get there. You can use private travel or transportation service or just contact us to save your time.

Nearby                       : Taman Sungai Mudal (0,6km) and Curug Kembang Soka  (1,00km)

Opening hours         : 24/7 hours. They also open on national holidays.
