12 Hours Kaliurang Budget Travelling

Kaliurang is a famous destination in Yogyakarta, it has a cold weather, fresh air. This is where you can go in 12 hours in Kaliurang.

  1. Breakfast 8 am-9am

Getting your morning off to a great start is easy with the delicious traditional foods of Jogja. Warung Kopi Klotok Pakem offers you a fresh morning ambiance surrounded by Paddy field and the view of Merapi Mountain. A cup of fresh and strong kopi klotok, the traditional coffee which brewed by boiling it, will energized your morning vibes. Other best cuisines are sego megono (rice with chopped raw jackfruit and coconut) and the warm fried banana. Price are ranged around Rp1.00+++0-Rp6.500, pretty affordable isn’t it?

  1.    Merapi Volcano Museum at 9.30 am- 11.30 pm

If you want to know all about volcanoes and observe demonstrations of volcano outbursts, tsunamis, etc. this is the place you shouldn’t be missed. Fascinating museum with free guides. There is a section of historic photos where you can see how the Merapi has changed the landscape. The entrance ticket are Rp 5.000 for local visitors and Rp 10.000 for international visitors.

    1.     Museum Ulen Sentalu at 12am-2pm

Ullen Sentalu presents javanese heritage through its vast collections. Compared to other museums, the price is more expensive, but totally worth it. The Museum provides english spoken tour guide for every 30 minutes, and took about 50 minutes journey from start to finish. A great restaurant and a boutique & merchandise shop owned by the museum will awaits at the exit. Unfortunately, no photos allowed within the museum. Visitors will be charged at Rp 40.000 while foreigner charged abit higher at Rp. 60.000. A bit expensive but I ensure You It is worth it to visit.

  1.    Gardu Pandang Kaliurang at 2.30 pm-4 pm

Best recognized for its beautiful view and non-crowdy location, the Taman Gardu Pandang Kaliurang attracts many tourists. You can explore the breathtaking view of Cangkringan from this point of view. And the entrance ticket is only Rp5.000 per person. This destination is also great at night with its colorful lampions.
